Major Corporation located in Greenwich is currently seeking a Technical Specialist for their expanding Data Center.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
System Administration skills. Preferably with UNIX (Sun Solaris), Linux and Windows.
Desktop deployment and software installation. The ability to troubleshoot systems is a big plus.
Perform repairs on all computer systems. This includes replacing hard drives, memory cards, power supplies, etc.
Some experience with cabling (Cat5/Cat6), punch down tools, installing network connections through patch panels and switch ports.
Prior experience installing server hardware in computer rack systems (1U/4U).
Trading floor or multi-tiered workstation environments a plus.
Inventory of various IT equipment and maintaining inventory records.
Monitoring security, hardware, software generated alarms and coordinating responses.
Knowledge of facilities (HVAC, MEP, etc.) a plus.
MUST BE WILLING TO WORK THE EVENING SHIFT
$60,000 to $70,000
Location: Greenwich
Compensation: $60,000 to $70,000 + Great Benefits
